About
I am a pre-service teacher, currently studying externally through Deakin. I have a varied professional background having spent time in the Australian Army, worked in the fitness industry and as an IT consultant/DBA before becoming a mother and deciding I wanted to be a teacher. I completed my first year (part time) at UTAS, but decided the Deakin course, which allows you to become a K-12 qualified teacher was a better option for me. I use this blog mainly for uni assignments – to put my reflections, teacher resources and other lesson plans or ideas out there on the web and show how I would prefer to incorporate ICT into my teaching.
I have a husband who is still in the Army and is currently deployed to East Timor and a two and a half year old daughter, B (for Brianna) who is lots of fun and lots of work but always worth it. I live in Hobart, just off of Salamanca Square, a fantastic place to live even if it is getting a bit cold. If you would like to have a chat, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
